IMPLEMENTATION: Le Ciel de la P lace de la Concorde is an original unsigned lithograph No. 4 from a series of 6 color lithographs and 5 black lithographs, recorded in "CHAGALL LITHOGRAPHE II", with text by Fernand Mourlot, published by André Saurat in Monte Carlo in 1963, and comes with a frame 395x482 mm. as showed in picture. The passe partout measures 205x323 mm. of the artwork. 

BIOGRAFIE:    

Born :   1887 at Vitebsk 

1887: Marc Chagall is born on July 7 in a family of Hasidic Jews in Vitebsk, Belarus
1906-1910: Studies in the studio of Yehuda Pen and then in St. Petersburg in the studio of Léon Bakst
1911: Traveling to Paris, staying there at La Ruche
1914: Returns to Vitebsk, where he stays longer than planned due to the war
1915: Marries Bella Rosenfeld
1916: Ida Chagall is born
1918-1920: Appointed as commissioner for Fine Arts in the Vitebsk region
1920: First assignments for sketches and costumes. Transfer to Moscow, where he produces work for the Jewish State Theater
1922-1923: Leaves Russia for Berlin, where he completes Mein Leben, his autobiography started in 1915-16
1923-1930: Returns to Paris. Assignments: Dead Souls of Gogol, the Fables of La Fontaine, the Bible
1937: Become a naturalized French citizen. Nazi regime explains his work 'degenerate art'
1941: Leaves for the United States
1944: Bella Chagall dies
1948: Returns to France
1952: Marries Valentina Brodsky (Vava)
1953-1960: Series of Message biblique murals
1959: Designs stained glass windows for the cathedral in Metz
1962: Inauguration of the twelve windows of the synagogue in the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem
1964: Inauguration of the decorated ceiling of the Opéra Garnier in Paris
1967-1977: Involved in projects with stained glass as well as wall hangings and mosaics
1973: Musée National du Message Biblique Marc Chagall opens in Nice
1985: Dies in Saint-Paul-de-Vence
